"What the [$%&@] is going on America with AAPI Hate" - april 8 & 21, 2021

As a response to the shooting in Atlanta and anti-Asian crimes all across the country, Penn GSE Student government members recognized the emotional toll and confusion this has taken, especially in the midst of this pandemic and academic school year for both international and domestic student body. [What the H*** is going on in America with AAPI?] was a series of events aimed to provide a space for all Asian identifying GSE students to learn, share, and work towards healing. #stopasianhate. I contributed by planning, facilitating the discussion, and designing the flyers.

PIZZA WITH A PURPOSE - OCTOBER 30, 2018

Pizza with a Purpose was a free event where all members of all four councils of Greek Life were welcomed to get to know each other better and to get more engaged in the Greek community on campus. It was an informal event where people met members of other councils while munching on free pizza. Moreover, a presentation to educate the members about cultural appropriation for the Halloween season was provided. I directed the event and was in charge of producing graphic design materials for marketing.

DIVERSITY SPEAKER SERIES & SPEAK OUT - MARCH 26, 2018

The Diversity Speaker Series was created to start a discussion about diversity in the Greek community. The purpose of the event was to bring members from across the Greek community together to reflect on their Greek experiences.

At the event, audiences heard a variety of stories and opinions regarding the topic of diversity in Greek life. After the talks from our four speakers, a Q&A session followed to create more dialogue between you guys and the speakers. The second part of this event gave our audience members an opportunity to talk about their own experiences in Greek life. I produced marketing materials, acted as a communication director working with different Greek councils, and managed the committee members for the event.

INSPIRED - NOVEMBER 18, 2017

The Kappa Phi Lambda Inspired Show is a philanthropy show hosted by each year to raise money to support our local philanthropy organization. It is a show composed of various different cultural performances from Chinese Yo-yo groups to the sorority's own stroll.

Inspired Show 2017 was held to raise money for The Hegira Programs, Inc. The Hegira Programs, Inc. raises awareness for adult primary care physician services and specialized mental health and substance abuse to individuals of all ages in the communities of Wayne County. I directed the show by heading a committee of 6, designing flyers, producing a promo video, receiving $220 in grants, recruiting student performers, soliciting over $200 in donations for local business sponsorship. We resulted in raising $521 to donate all the proceeds to Hegira Programs Incorporation. Link to the Event
